Petition To Ban Exit Fees Within Suppliers
I, like I think most customers, assumed Exit Fees only applied if you change suppliers, but was shocked to find out EDF charged me £50 to switch to a cheaper tariff with them. Exit should mean leave no penalise customers for switching to a cjeaper tariff! I do not understand how this is legal.
For that reason I have started a petion to ban this practice. I hope all who can will sign.

I have never joined where there is an exit fee, did it say “if you leave the tariff”?AH55522 said:It did not disclose it is also for switching tariffs! The terms and conditions of exit fees are clearly laid out, it is an exit from a tariff not a leaving fee. When you take out a fix you are agreeing to a contract, an exit fee is what you pay to break that contract, the choice is yours.AH55522 said:I, like I think most customers, assumed Exit Fees only applied if you change suppliers, but was shocked to find out EDF charged me £50 to switch to a cheaper tariff with them.
