Appliance repair taking too long

Hi all
I have a 2-year old Sharp heat pump dryer that developed a fault 3 weeks before the manufacturers warranty ended. Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty as the machine cost over £450. Seven weeks in, three engineer visits, four days taken off work, three new parts fitted, and two last minute cancelled engineer visits (the latest received 10 mins ago for tomorrows appointment), I am still no closer to having the dryer fixed. The latest reason given is the part is unavailable, and last week the part was damaged in transit. When I spoke to Pacifica (who look after repairs for sharp) this afternoon, the part hadn’t been dispatched and only just ordered today! Also spent over £100 so far in launderette service washes and £90 for a heated airer. Help! I have requested a replacement machine and been refused as only the engineer can state this in their report. Pacifica are not budging and I’m at the end of my tether. Many thanks.

Unless there is anything in the warranty about a replacement, then that is not a option.
