    The mortgage was only taken out in March 2024, so less than 18-months ago.  Did the OP really need to be told by a Broker that the mortgage term would go on past their retirement date?
    Was it not truly foreseeable to the OP in March 2024 that by November 2025 they would be over SP age?

    Aaah - thank you and OOPS, I lost 20 years there.
    I still think the vast majority of people are able to foresee being past SP age by some future point.
