Try a few simple things first.
On a SKY box for example I have had to do the following to get my sound back
Turn it off for 30 secs and then on again
remove the SCART lead and re-insert it again
wiggle the leads
Try the box on a different TV or a friends to see if the box is bustedNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Try changing the channel on the TV to Channel 0 or AV. I had the situation where I was seeing the freeview picture but with the sound from the channel that the TV was tuned to. Cured problem by above means.0

You've told us the freeview box is connected to the aerial but how is it connected to the TV. And what model is it.
If it's a Scart connection then 99 times out of 100 the scart plugs on either end just to check both sides of each Scart are shoved fully into their sockets.
BTW reading what you've written it seems to suggest you have 2 freeview boxes. Can you confirm the setup please?0
