probate search - where to download

Hi

I've done a search on the probate register, created an account, searched paid etc.

I've received two emails - one with a receipt and the second says "The probate document you requested on 23/10/2025  was processed and is now available for download."

There is no link or attachment in the email and it isn't clear where to download.

Any ideas?!

It's a while since I used this service but I think I recall that you have to log into your account, go to 'My Orders' and download from there.  In my case there were always 2 documents, Grant of Probate and the Will.

Log into your account and you should see your orders. Note that documents are probably only available for one month, so download.

And do check they've sent you the correct one. And the whole document. If they send a correction, they don't necessarily tell you. I found mine when I got the reminder to download  before the month ended.

This gets you the Grant of Probate and the Will, is there a way to get the details of the estate? ie the values, the gifts etc?

The Grant shows the total value. Any gifts would be in the Will. If you want more detail you have to ask the executor(s) for a copy of the estate accounts which I think you are only entitled to if you are a residual beneficiary or HMRC.
