DCB Legal - Completed Mediation, what next?!

Hi All,
Brief summary of my case which began in 2023 almost 2 years ago now! My car was in Miller Street car park Manchester for 11 mins whilst I tried to decipher from very unclear signage if I could park there for longer than 12 hours. Not wanting to risk it, I left and parked elsewhere.
After following all advice on the forum I have now completed the mediation stage - I decided to have a bit of fun and offer £11 (£1 per minute my car was in their pot holed and poorly signed excuse for a car park!) in response to their first offer of £240.
This was then reduced to £170 which is obviously still completely unreasonable and unfair. To keep the game going I made a final offer of £20 to which they then reduced their offer further to £150!!

Obviously so called “costs” don’t matter to these people if they can reduce a charge by £90 in a matter of minutes. So nothing has been settled and the matter will proceed further.
I made it clear to the mediator that this was a complete waste of time for all involved and that DCB Legal/Europarks business model was unscrupulous and completely unethical. For want of more appropriate words 🤬
Can anyone give me advice on what happens next? Is this likely to proceed to court or will the case be dropped? Is my “defence” strong enough or are they likely to follow through?
All advice welcome.

Euro Car Parks? It will be discontinued.
Next stage is a letter from your local court with some dates for witness statements and them paying a fee. Show us when it arrives.
The dates may be mundane, or the judge may have made them disadvantageous to DCB Legal because they're sick of the sight of them.5 -
So ECP via DCB Legal, not Europarks
Study the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements plus the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements
Next is where your local nominated civil court sends you and DCB LEGAL a court order, possibly next year sometime, or within the next 6 to12 weeks, with a date in 2026 , but until we see the order it's impossible to answer your query properly
They usually discontinue just before the hearing fee is due, nearly 700 examples in the thread by Umkomaas
Its not just the defence that determines the outcome, but their decision to continue or not, both WS plus Exhibits bundles etc
Which court did you nominate ? Manchester ?5 -
Euro Car Parks yes sorry!
And the court is Preston3 -
But it'll be discontinued, as we all know. Show us a pic of the NoD when they email it over.jdizzledog67 said:Euro Car Parks yes sorry!
