It's still dark and cold, only +2 here this morning. I'm up and ready for going down to Glasgow for a dental hygienist appointment. On the way back I'll drop into Cost*o for loo rolls and the collect an order at Wait*ose. Should be home by mid afternoon if all is well on the roads.Take care all - keep warm. Hugs all round.12

Morning, thanks Gers. Safe travels, hope you get to do all that you've planned.
It's dark, cold, and damp here. I'm trying to hold off from getting into a serious winter coat and gloves until the beginning of November - how ridiculous is that. Trouble is, usually you're still wearing them in March, even April, by which time you're sick to death of them!
Not much happening today except flu jabs, I'll have a Covid as well.
Hope all the poorlies are picking up a bit.
Have a good day if you can, and take care folks.

Thanks for the start Gers. Safe travels
It’s 6C here and I thought that was chilly! Also very windy and damp.Yesterday was lovely so took advantage and had a lovely walk by the river and did some garden tidying.Today I’ve a drop off booked at the hospice charity shop , have some bits for the tip and need some shopping - that can all be done in one trip. Other than a few chores it’ll be a quieter day - have some busy ones coming up and know I need a nap! (And also that I need fo stay awake for Traitors 😉)Take care all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Have a safe trip. No starry starry sunrise this morning unfortunately. Too much cloud cover and it looks a bit damp out there I think. But it's forecast to remain dry and that is the best they can offer!
We were fortunate with the weather for our bus ride yesterday and it felt almost warm when we were in the sunshine. We had our usual amble round the marker stalls (nothing bought) and then a delve in a couple of cs (still nothing bought!) before heading for lunch and our customary bottle. All went well for our day out until our bus broke down on the way back! We were all offloaded onto a following bus which was a bit of a squeeze ramming the contents of a double decker onto a single decker. Bus buddy and I were lucky we nabbed a seat. After the delay we thought we might miss our bus back up here but we made it just in time.
Today I am grounded and the excitement is bringing Friday Tidy day forward as I have the dentist tomorrow for a check up and will probably feel I cba when I get back.
YL snap! I have the fairy lights on now each evening to cheer the place up a bit. One string in the dresser and the other artistically (!!) wound inside an ornamental bird cage (no real bird involved!) I have yet to stock up on tea lights for the hearth but that will be next. SNOOZER you sound to be down in the doldrums, I hope you soon perk up and start to feel better. ((HUGS)) for all in need, take care one and all, stay safe xx

Morning allAn early wake up call with a bit of tummy upset so another long day ahead! It's going to be very blustery with lots of rain today, although looking at the forecast on my phone it's saying a couple of hours of dry weather after 12 o'clock so the dogs can get out and stretch their legs.Nothing else planned today so I wish you all a good day x10

Morning all, dryish at the moment. Thanks Gers, hope your journey is good.I didn't post yesterday. My brother and SiL called , it's his birthday today and he called for his card and wine. Our dog food man came too, he always comes in as we've known him years so he was introduced to them and lots of chatting followedDGS wasn't too well yesterday when we picked him up,but not surprising given the amount of coughing and spluttering, DGD been off school. My cough is improving but DS1 & DH sound awful.TA glad you got a seat on that bus!Shopping delivery between 10-11 so better get LDog out!Hope the poorlies get better soon.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers - safe travels today x
It’s blowing a hoolie here. Poor DH had to go over to the school at midnight as the alarm was going off. Second time this has happened this week. The staff who were in yesterday had failed to lock the double doors in one of the classrooms and had left the lights on too. He’s not a happy bunny and will message them today.DH has a dental appt plus he’s picking up his new spectacles today. He also needs a haircut. I will be popping to the tip whilst he’s at the dentist and we will go shoe shopping afterwards. We have a do to attend tomorrow night and I have nothing suitable (last minute Larry).I’m still snuffly but the pain in my back is easing thank goodness.Get well wishes to @Chrisca50, @RedRuby1232, @camelot1001 and @snoozer. Hope you all feel brighter soon xx
Have a good day everyone

Morning everyone thanks for the start Gers safe travels it’s damp and miserable here but I think we are missing the worst of the weather I’m off out to get my haircut this morning it’s looking like a mop I’m still not sure I’ve had my haircut short for so long now I have managed to get it nearly to my shoulders what was I thinking everyone comments on how nice it looks but every time I look in the mirror all I see is Winnie the Witch and I’m used to getting up and running my fingers through it and it’s done this is to much faff my daughter has said why don’t you give it until the new year and see how you feel I’m not convinced. Hubby is cleaning the fish tank out it will keep him busy as his golf was canceled because of the rain I’m amazed because I never thought it rained on the golf course he must be getting old doesn’t like getting wet now . Scarlet I’m in winter clothes most of the year I’m always freezing I’m never out of two layers even in the summer I wear a t shirt with a thin top over I now have a thermal vest on a T-shirt a fleece and a down filled body warmer on in the house I’m like the Michelin man I once sat on the beach in Majorca with a fleece top on in June . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning All
Sorry to those of you with wet and windy weather, the sun is splitting the skies here after a misty start although it's still very cold. Bedding on the line with another load in.
Just been for my pr-op assessment and everything seems to be fine so that's one thing off my list. It was at the local hospital and I took the car so will walk down to the library in a bit - need to keep moving if I feel up to it and today is a good day!
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better today, there seems to be a lot of colds and flu about at the moment.
Well done on getting a seat on the bus TA.
Safe travels Gers, you should get some fabulous scenery today.
You made me laugh Izzy, I bet you got some funny looks sitting on a Spanish beach with a fleece on!
Scarlet, I have my winter coat out already.
Haircut for me later which is much needed.
Have a good day, take care. XX8
