Currys - one website, 2 different details

I am on the brink of buying an item from Currys. But I have found conflicting information on an item specifications.
On the item specifications, the Manufacturer’s guarantee is listed as being 1 year.
However, on the ‘product fiche’ the manufacturer’s guarantee is given as a minimum period of 24 months
Why am I concerned? Well obviously there is a discrepancy. But also, there appears to be a certain pressure from Currys to spend extra on a care plan for 3 or 5 years.
Now, if I thought the manufacturer’s guarantee was only for 1 year, I might be inclined to extend by taking out a care plan. But, finding a 24 month guarantee hidden away in some very small print, the cynical part of me wonders if Currys have hidden this information in order to persuade customers to buy an expensive care plan.
Any thoughts??
