ICS home EV charger - which utility companies support them?

I cannot see any Smart EV tariff (supplier controls charging) such as Intelligent Octopus Go that supports them, any of the dumb tariffs (with a overnight charging window) such as Octopus Go would work with them. Those dumb EV tariffs get you the same or very similar unit rate for overnight charging but usually an hour less and no smart boosts at other times, though for a 7kW charger unless you are doing a huge amount of driving is unlikely to be a problem.DeNovo said:I am trying to find a utility company which supports ICS (Intelligent Charging Systems) home EV chargers. I have tried several, including my current supplier Octopus, but none are compatible. Can anyone advise please?
What car do you have, is your car compatible with smart charging?0 -
All home chargers now have to have a degree of smartness/intelligence, such as the ability to be scheduled, but that doesn't necessarily mean they compatible with "intelligent" tariffs. I think intelligent is probably being used as a marketing term in this case. Whether it would pass scrutiny by the Advertising Standards Authority is a moot point.0
