DCB LEGAL - Registered Keeper but not the driver

I have received a claim form in May 2025 for a parking charge dated Feb 2022, no other correspondence, I was not driving the vehicle at the time, a previous employee of mine was, who cannot be located now.  Should I specify this in my defence?

Are you defending as a company or as an individual?

Depends if they mention POFA in the particulars or not.

  • Correction, we received a County Court Claim form dated 17/10, it does mention POFA but we did inform them of the driver details and address previously in May when we first received parking charge dating back 20/2/22

With an issue date of 17/10/25 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 22/10/25 and before 05/11/25 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 19/11/25

Either, which would be better?  I passed the address details of the employee to DCBL

No, not either. You don't get to choose.

Who is the named DEFENDANT on the Claim form? They defend. Is it the company?

Oh, so it has been served to an individual, not a company. And he/she wasn't driving AND the company transferred liability to the driver BEFORE court claim?
