Air source heat pump ECO3 grant selling home

Hi,
we are selling our home.
We had a ASHP installed for free around 3 to 4 years ago.
However the installer is a horrible man and claims to not even know who i am anymore.
The provider of the ASHP Grants have tried there upmost best to help, I've been chasing it for over 2 years.
Its not installed correctly, it comes on randomly through the day even if turned off at the wall, the installer never came back to install a part they messed up and we never received a contract, anything about the work being completed, or even shown how to use it.
As i say at first he was OK but then eventually he just pretends he doesn't know who i am despite the previous messages been there on days he was AT MY PROPERTY working.
We are selling up to move now, but as we've had no contract etc don't even know what the rules are around selling after we received the grant for this.
It doesn't pay us money and we owe no money on it, but are unsure if we had to wait a certain time before we could sell.
Has anyone had this done could help??
Thanks

I would suggest you check with the Grant Provider, just in case there are rules, but I couldn't find any by Googling. If you aren't receiving payments, and don't owe any money, I doubt there will be any problem selling your house because of the grant. But you must tell the new owners that the heating system is not installed correctly, OR get it installed correctly.
You could, if you have home insurance, use the legal expenses cover that may be included with it, to force them gome back to finish the install off, but I wouldn't let such a bad installer touch the system again.
According to Google, ECO3 installs must have been done by a Trustmark reggistered installer, so I would also contract Trustmark to rubbish the installer to them. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1 -
