Are integrated and freestanding dishwashers similar in terms of the plumbing and elec

I wonder if you can help. My integrated dishwasher has broken down for good. It is a nightmare one, we were stuck with it when we bought the house from the previous owners.

So we are finally looking to replace it. My question is, is it easy to whip out an integrated dishwasher and replace it with a freestanding one? i.e. are the plumbing and electrics the same or are they different.

Neither myself or my husband are great diyers including fitting appliances, so need to know we aren't making a mistake making this change.

We have an integrated d/w just been fitted and is fine.

Is there a reason you don't want another integrated one? If you already have the door it would probably look better integrated?? (just my opinion)
