Good morning all and thanks @Gers for starting us off today. Yesterday's weather wasn't as bad as forecast and we did have some brighter (but not sunny) spells during the day. The outlook for today is dry in the morning with drizzle in the afternoon, light winds and top temps once again around the 12 or 13 deg mark. Currently there are breaks in the cloud cover and even an occasional glimpse of the sun.
Grocery delivery arrived on time yesterday, all P&C with one short dated item. I was impressed that I'd managed a coherent order, given how woolly my brain was when I did it! One wash load done, obviously drying indoors, plus the usual daily stuff and that was about it for the day. Last night I watched the re-make of the Forsyte Saga; I never saw the 60s original (too busy being a teenager) but do remember my parents enjoying it.
Nothing in particular planned for today so I'll just go with the flow. Still taking paracetamol for the earache although it isn't quite as bad now with just the occasional twinge; I hope my fellow poorlies are also feeling a little better.
@dp1 - Special hugs for LO.
Have the best day you can, take care and stay safe. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Morning all, raining here, but only drizzle compared to the lashings down yesterday. A friend is coming round to see if she wants anything from the linens hoard, which gives me a chance to put it in bags I don't want back. Much easier to drop it all off like that. Made some gluten free cookies for one of my friends last night using gram flour rather than gluten free flour, they were a success, she said most gluten free stuff tastes like dust so hopefully she can have these instead. More research needed for other stuff to make. Tidying the house is today then instead of going out, not something I enjoy doing at all....Still have to go and search out a couple of jigsaws fro my other friend who had the hip operation, they're in a box upstairs somewhere...That's a job for today then.Mehefin, well, at least you've been inoculated in disappointment now, onwards and upwards! dp1, poor thing, it's awful when you know what they're feeling and can't help to fix it all...Gers, sonds like a demanding occupation, the excercise, but if anyone can, you can
Ruby, Coxy, et al with the coughs, colds and covids, hope you get well soon, it's just rubbish....Take care all....

Morning everyone just in from a cleaning job it’s raining we started off with lovely pink skies this morning but it’s gone downhill. Gers I’ve read about the standing up every hour but that’s all I have done read about it I’m full of good intentions. DP1 how sad about the little one she’s not different she’s special a little star . Mehefin sorry about your friend but as my granny used to say these things happen for a purpose I’m pleased you can stay friends. Silver oldie I think a cushion sounds a good idea less to go wrong I’m cooking a gammon joint for tonight withe some yellow split peas to make peas pudding I’m going to give the kitchen a good clean and definitely when I get this winter over I’m going to have something new put down on my kitchen floor I know it will still get a few mucky paw prints but it can’t look worse than what I’ve got down and I want something warmer . Right just going to finish my cuppa then I will get cracking. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all
Dry here for now but it’s been raining most of the night, I had a terrible night so have not long been up, still feel rubbish but OH feels better today so I’m hoping I start to improve tomorrow as I am a day behind him.
I need to do a shop today for delivery tomorrow, I am not eating much at all atm I seem to be living off of Jaffa cakes, I also have a craving for Ribena so OH said he will get some today.
OH has hoovered and mopped this morning so at least we are looking a bit tidier. I need to have a bath and hair wash later as I’ve not washed my hair for 5 days 🤢
DP1 I was so sorry to hear about little one being upset that she is different, the lady who told her to sit in another room has made me so angry 😡 little one (and the class) need to know how very special she is, sending hugs to you all xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Afternoon all, sending love and hugs to everyone.
Flaming awful yesterday but today is just “blur” spent the morning straightening the house out, honestly if the house isn’t straight my head is straight.. that’s my excuse and I’m keeping that 😂 just waiting for DD to collect me for my nanny duties again. XxTrying to change my life and will:money:8 -
@IzzyBee- Remember the saying "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailor's take warning." That beautiful pink sky usually means rain coming, if not worse. Try and stay warm and dry.7

Thank you everyone for your kind words - little one was texting me after school and seems to be fine, so hopefully yesterday was just a little blip.
Redruby...don't worry...she wasn't told to sit in another room...little one just thought it might be better if she did and then no one would hear her alarm go off. She's bursting with excitement for swimming and then the Halloween party tomorrow x10
