Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Well that was quite a storm yesterday. Haven't been outside yet, still dark, so don't know if there's any damage.
Thank you for your suggestions re memory bear. I think maybe a cushion is a better idea.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.14 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. No storm for us yesterday and the promised thunderstorm didn't happen either. Instead we just had mizzly drizzly rain for most of the day. I hope there is no damage for you SO. Today sounds like it will be much the same as yesterday but the forecast does suggest infrequent bits of sun. Why do I doubt that!
All being well I am meeting DF again for lunch but, as always, I await a text confirming it when she knows how the land lies with DH. He is so unpredictable although definitely better than he was since the change of meds.
Have a good day folks if you can and I hope all the poorlies are recovering nicely. CAMELOT I hope the building work is now finished and has solved the problem. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -
Good morning, thanks Gers.
It was a dark damp day yesterday, we had some rain.
Started planting the plants we'd bought on Saturday, came in for a bite, and the rain started. We were too wimpy to go out in the rain and finish up, so we'll have to do that today.
Mehefin, sorry to read that you were dumped, hope you'll be all right.
We have a lot of poorly people at the moment, thoughts to you all, and hope you feel better soon.
Hope you manage to get out for lunch TA.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning allLots of rain yesterday but forecast today says no rain so no muddy footprints to contend with hopefully. Apart from feeding the menagerie and playing ball with the big dog who is too strong for me to take for a walk so he uses up some of his energy not alot going on here today.Have a good day all x12

Morning all
I managed to finish the bleaching/scrubbing of the kitchen floor tiles and grout yesterday and it looks so much better. The rain was awful but I fortunately chose a dry spell for a quick walk.Battling a sore throat this morning so not being very productive so far. Might pop to a local English heritage place for a walk and wander for a change of scenery I think.Sorry my brain isn’t working this morning so will just wish everyone a good day

Good morning all from dull and damp Mehefinland
I'm a Hug Bunny - thank you all for your kind words and support. It's funny to think that after 71 years on this spinning ball it was the first time I had been in that situation _ I'm ok now, and will move on. We will remain friends but just that. I had a good long chat with my doggy friend yesterday and I'm much clearer in my thoughts now. I suppose in some ways it was a bit of a shock lol.
Moving on... the sun is poking its nose out from behind a big back cloud so I'm hopeful of a drier day. It's recycling day here and for once it isn't blowing half a gale - more ends up being recycled to the floor than the lorry when it is, and then we have the chase me down the road bag competition!! The latest issue of bags are weighted so they don't blow about, but mine are the older ones. Keeps me fit.
Really need to get a bulk load of shavings in for the winter whilst I can still get a vehicle in the field. Will have to see how the penny stack is looking first.
Hope all the poodles are on the recovery road
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
A rubbish night for me, coughing, runny nose, painful back. Just up and had some more meds. I have a dental appointment today - new patient check - hoping I’ll be able to breathe whilst they examine me 😳
Memory cushion sounds like a good idea @silver-oldie x
Hope you get to meet your pal @TravellingAbuela x
Glad the builders have finished @Camelot1001 let’s hope they have fixed the issue for you 🤞🏻
Sorry you’re so poorly @RedRuby1231. Hope you feel better soon x
How are you doing Derek @mehefin? Hope you’re okay and the horses were okay in the storm yesterday xx
Sending well wishes to all our poorlies x

Morning everyone
I was up and dressed earlier than usual as I had an electrician coming and I'd asked for the first appointment. He's been and gone, after putting a new fan in the kitchen and a new thermostat in the hallway.
I was prescribed some cream for my tongue yesterday so went in to collect it after work yesterday...it turned out the doctor had given me something that isn't made anymore, so a new prescription had to be sorted. Hopefully I can collect it before work this morning, I'll ring Boots to check it's ready before I go in.
Scarlet - what kind of plants to you plant at this time of year?
Little one rang me so upset last night, basically she doesn't want to be different from her friends at school, she had been asking DD if she could go to a different school where no one would know about her medical problems. DD had tried to explain that she's always going to be different and I tried to do the same. She did settle eventually when I read her a story but I couldn't stop thinking about her so it took a while for me to go to sleep. The usual lady who looks after her medical needs at school has had to take time off due to illness in her family and I think little one just prefers her to the lady who is looking after her now, though she's lovely.
At one point she suggested she sits by herself and does her work in a different toom so no one hears her alarm going off! DD was going to send an email this morning and is going on the sponsored walk with her this morning, hopefully she'll get to speak to someone later.
Sorry...I've offloaded again....I know you all care about her.
Right I'd better get on...I hope everyone has a good day x13 -
Morning again - I've been pottering gently, catching up on neglected jobs and drinking coffee.Sorry that you're having another little heartache @mehefin- onward! A cushion is a better idea @SO, hard to go wrong. I hope you get to your lunch date @TA. Winter planting is brave @Scarlet. Playing ball with a dog sounds such fun @AA. What a dreadful night you've had @Coxy - med yourself up! I bet you're glad that the builders have finished @Camelot - don't work yourself too hard before your op. Hugs to @Ruby and family, resting will surely help you recover soon. Your little one @DP1 is such a little star, and not wanting to be different is so natural. All your guidance and wisdom is so invaluable to her and your DD.I'm was a tad annoyed with my lovely Oz SIL - I sent her a parcel which arrived nearly a month ago and she hadn't thanked me. Last night I sent a slightly terse text asking if she had in fact received it as RM tracking showed that it had. This morning I received a long apologetic text, she had written me an email but failed to send it - I think that she's getting rather forgetful so will 'forgive' her! This morning I'm taking my bed linen to the laundry to get ironed, and have my now too big body warmer washed before I hand it over to CS. The exercise class yesterday has somehow inspired me to do more moving, then I read about doing 10 squats for every 45 minutes of sitting - do I have the discipline? Blooming hope so.Hugs to all, hope that today is a better one.9
