What exactly is the criteria for group 2 warm home discount? We have an old terraced house (1890)our 19 year old receives UC+PIP but isn't named on the bill.
Husband and I don't claim UC but we received the £150 last year

Are you in Scotland or England/Wales?
It's likely if your 19 year old is eligible then you'll still get it, as they'll be matched to your address and your account for your meter at the address.0 -
England. Complicated circumstances. Husband left his job in June so no income since then. I only have carer's allowance, no other income. But before June he was in full time employment0

Always worth while ringing them.

Last year when the government stopped the winter fuel allowance for us not on pension credit...Octopus were amazing and went through my SOA...and actually credited my energy account with £226.
This year I think i may be eligible for core group 2 of the WHD..I get some housing allowance but not full..we'll see3 -
I sent an e mail to Octopus and they couldn't explain their criteria, so I'm no wiser0

What part aren't you sure about? We might be able to help. It's much more straightforward this year, thankfully.beyondthestars said:I sent an e mail to Octopus and they couldn't explain their criteria, so I'm no wiser1 -
I've read the criteria and it's quite clear...but as I don't get full housing allowance it's about half not sure if I'll be eligibleSpoonie_Turtle said:

Doesn't matter how much you do or don't get, the criteria is Housing Benefit and you get Housing Benefit 🙂2

Yep. Further to this, even if someone only gets a penny each week, they're technically still in receipt of it and would therefore qualify.KxMx said:Doesn't matter how much you do or don't get, the criteria is Housing Benefit and you get Housing Benefit 🙂1 -
This is a silly question but how do your energy company know this? Plus how do the government know who's your energy supplier?0
