Furniture in Fashion

Hi, I'm venting after an extremely frustrating experience with above company. Wondering if it is just me and also hoping to warn others.
Found a lamp table which matched some existing pieces, described on Furniture in Fashion's website as Dark Elm finish. This is a rich brown colour, looking identical to what I have, in their picture.Delivery came quickly. On opening l found a completely different colour, l would say black.
Thought it would be a simple swap over, as accidentally sent wrong colour but boy was l wrong! You can only deal with one person at their customer complaints and only via email. I have asked to deal with someone higher up but have not been offered any other contact.
Despite sending lots of pictures demonstrating the marked difference in colour, the differing product code on the box to the shipping label, the item as shown and described on the website l cannot convince the person I am dealing with that they sent the wrong thing!
Apparently, the table l received is dark oak and even though it is dark elm on the website, that's the same thing so l have the right table.
Who knew that both oak and elm are the same thing and are black in colour. According to the customer service person, l should have realised that what they sent would look nothing like what I ordered from the website and it is my expectations that are wrong.
I have ended up agreeing to pay £60 for the table to go back because I can't argue anymore. It's made me so cross. No point in swapping the table as apparently because l have what I ordered l will only get another black table.
I hope no-one else has this experience and would advise anyone to be wary of using this company.

Parts of the site allow for other drop shipping companies to use it as the front end for their goods.
Personally I wouldn't buy furniture unless I'd seen it in person.0
