Trying to change Ryanair flight but none available...

Myself and my daughter have Ryanair flights booked for tomorrow. London Stansted to Bergerac France. Sadly my dad died on October 3rd and the funeral is this coming Thursday. We are unable to use our flights.  My dad died more than 10 days before my flight date so I am not eligible for a credit/refund from Ryanair.
I am therefore trying to pay a change fee and change my flights, but the route stops running for the winter very shortly, and even though flights are showing from April next year, none are available when I click on them.  In short, I have no options to change the flight to.  Any ideas?

Can you call them? Agents normally have a lot more permissions than just the app.

Am going to try that tomorrow.  Hopefully I'll get through before the flight is due to go.....

Is a claim on your travel insurance an option?

Just an update. Spent 1 hour on chat to Ryanair rep. She agreed that no flights were available to book on same route right into summer of next year, even though they were displaying as scheduled.
She refused to give me a credit note. Told me that she couldn't do anything even though I wanted to pay to change flights but there were no flights on same route to change to.
Basically lost all flights and money paid even though I wanted to pay to change flights.  She suggested I click on a link to escalate it. Not holding my breath....

Sorry to hear about your dad.  Have you tried your travel insurance as Westin suggested?

Will try travel insurance. Just really disappointed that I was willing to pay the change fee to change the flights, but no flights actually coming up as available on the route right into the summer of next year....I was left with no options, and Ryanair rep just said sorry she couldn't help.
Oh well, don't know why I expected anything else from them!
