Utility room and bathroom extension

We've been trying to get a quote for this work for so long and finally a builder has given us one but we have nothing to compare it to. We want to add a small utility room and bathroom on the back of our bungalow. How does this quote sound? It's just for the building. All the drain work, windows, doors, fittings, plumping and electrics etc are on top of this quote.

How big (square meter) are we talking?
Also where in the country are you?
My first thought was £35,000 is hell of alot for a utility and toilet room (not worth it)
You have all the other extras you mention which by the time its finally finished and had a final coat of paint could be another £12,000
So that's almost £50,000
You can buy a whole house for £150,000 in Lincolnshire!I have a tendency to mute most posts so if your expecting me to respond you might be waiting along time!0 -
It's 3m by 8.35m. We're in Mid Wales.0

Ok that's quite a lot larger than i was thinking.
i was thinking 2m x 3m so i was thinking £10k to £15k
i also mis-read your post (i though you said utility and toilet) but you did state Bathroom.
£35k plus all the other bits just sounds alot (I'm basing this on gut feeling and nothing else)

Thinking about it, a 3m x 8.35m room would be something like 10f x 27f
I would have thought you could chop that space up for a utility room plus Bathroom Plus bedroom. Perhaps something like
10f x 7f = Bathroom
10f x 6f = Utility
10f x 14f = Bedroom
£35k to £50k doesn't sound too bad now
I'm confused 😕
I'd be interested to hear the views of others too
