Completion certificate timescale
Good morning, I made my full and final IVA payment back in early July, and I’m still waiting for my completion certificate to come through. I have contacted my IVA company, Creditfix, several times to chase it up and been told that they are still waiting for creditors to make their claim and final reports still have to be written. I’m aware that it can take up to 6 months, but it’s a very stressful time and I wondered what other people’s experiences were please? It just feels like there is no sense of urgency!

Yes six months is the average timescale, as they have to allow all creditors included in your arrangement time to make their claims, a final report is then written, the account opened for your money to be deposited into will be closed, after all disbursements have been made to creditors.
This all takes time unfortunately, its a statutory process with statutory time scales, so you just have to let things take their course.
You will be so underwhelmed when you do receive your completion certificate, mine was a simple piece of photocopied A4 paper with the IP`s name on it, and three sentences which basically said:
"I (IP`s name) no longer represent (your name) in their Individual voluntary arrangement, which completed successfully on (insert date)".
And that was it, after 6 years, lol.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Remember to save the original IRL, scan it and save a photocopy or two. Just because occasionally creditors with more hope than brain buy up shed loads of ancient debt and try to claim it. Sometimes its easiest to shut them up with your insolvency information. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
