Hello!
I had posted a question here regarding which tradesperson I would have needed to fix the trim that partially collapsed from my baywindow.

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6633216/help-window-fixing#latest

I have been quoted £800+vat to replace the trim (so not fixing but replacing it) and add a new felt to replace the lifted felt on the flat roof above the window only.
Do you think its fair?
This is South London

Thanks

Does that quote include filling in the gaps and painting the new bit of timber.?

Have they stated how they are going to get access to bay window as to not damage any other parts of the bay or roof?

Something to take into account and how did you find this person?

I would get a few quotes if I were you. I’ve had quite a bit of work done on my house recently and I’ve had massive differences in quotes for the same jobs. For example, to replace the flat roof on my bathroom extension (2m x 2m) I was quoted £800 all the way up to £2000. I’m in SE london.

    Hi thanks for your reply.
No they didnt mention painting the timber. Access I think will be by going on the flat roof of the extension ... and i found them by checking local companies that are in the roofing industry
