Dear All
My 93 year old mother has just been notified she will receive £300 in winter fuel allowance soon. For reasons I do not understand she used to receive £600 before it was withdrawn last year. Can anybody please enlighten me on why my mother was receiving twice the allowance?
Thanks

£300 is the max you can get even if it's a couple in the household.... sounds like an error has been made.0

As your mother was over 80 she will have been received the £300 WFP plus £300 CoL = £600 total.5
