Home insurance

I am looking for some advice with regards to my home insurance.  i currently stay at the address with my parents, the house is in my name through Liferent. we were advsied by the lawyer to put the building insurance in my name as i stay there and its in my name and the contents insurance in my parents name. . i am moving out soon and was wondering if the building insurance should stay in my name or go into my parents name as they will continue to stay in the house
I have asked my current insurance company however they are unsure. Im unsure what to do, I don't want to give the insurance company any excuse not to pay out.

Whose responsibility will it be to maintain the house? If it's still you then the insurance should stay in your name.
