Best alternative to Sky TV?

We are sick of paying extortionate Sky TV prices (now £154.50 per month!!) and after being with them for 22 years, the best they can offer is a discount of £10 per month.
Please can anyone suggest another alternative that is cheaper? I have researched Now TV, but that has awful reviews on Trustpilot. BT has a range of packages, but their reviews aren't much better! I'm now going round in circles..........we are out of contract with Sky so now is the time for us to move, but I want to be sure we are moving to a good supplier! Why is this soooo hard?!! HELP!!!

I’ve just opened a Lloyds account which gives me Disney plus for free (as long as i meet certain easy conditions) and my wife has just opened a Barcleys account which gives her Apple TV for £5 a month. Would something similar work for you?0

Not really as we don't have an Apple tv and don't watch Disney! But thanks anyway!0

You don’t have to have an Apple TV (box) to watch Apple TV, just about all smart TV’s have the app.1

I think for better answers you need to specify exactly what you want / need from the package.
e.g. Broadband included ? Sports ? Cinema ? Multi-room ? Ad-free ? Recording facility ?
We're quite happy with our Now TV Entertainment package at between £4.99 and £9.99 a month depending on offers, alongside a Freesat box, but then we don't watch a lot of TV, don't need any additional features, and have a separate broadband contract.

we would like sports including F1, netflix, HD, multi-room, recording facility, live pause (not essential). Broadband included if possible but not essential0

HELP!!!Trustpilot reviews are very one sided. Usually in the negative, sometimes blatantly fabricated/soapbox led and having had a look at a handful on Trustpilot just now of the 1 star reviews, some of the complaints are quite obviously self inflicted and others have mixed in phone/internet service on the same entry which is nothing to do with the TV side. All of that aside, I've been with Now for the TV since at least 2019 and I haven't had any major issues.I would suggest since its no contract just sign up for a month and try it. If you don't like it, just cancel and find another solution. You need a device to load it on - a compatible Smart TV, Firestick/Roku if you want it on a TV but there are other options: https://www.nowtv.com/gb/help/article/what-devices-can-i-use-to-watch-nowThere is no recording on Now, but you can get occasion good retention deals. There is nothing to say that you have to have a bundled package of phone/internet/TV, you can just pick Now (for example) and have another internet provider of your choosing.0
