Private parking charges in Scotland

Multiple private parking charges in Scotland

I’ve received multiple private parking charges in Scotland but have ignored them. I now received this letter from debt collectors but have never heard from them before. From my understanding in Scotland the driver is responsible, not the keeper and I am under no obligation to reveal the driver. Am I ok to not respond?

Thanks for the response, are you aware if this is likely to be taken to court in Scotland?

The more tickets outstanding, the stakes are raised. Looks like you have 5 tickets (5x£170=£850)?  Smart have never pursued a case through the Scottish courts (to my knowledge), and probably £850 isn't the tipping point. But since Mystic Meg's demise, we don't have an accurate crystal ball gazer to call on. 😊
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
