    Without getting court approval... it's not as black & white as simply saying they cannot enforce it. Would need to hear their side of the story and why its resurfaced now to give any view on if the court would approve it or not.

    A CCJ may be extended, but only if it is on the verge of expiring and no payments have been made towards the debt.

    However, for this to happen, the creditor must present a strong case for why the money wasn’t recovered within the time limit.

    After 6 years are up, sec 24 limitation act will then apply.

    Sec 24 is quite clear, it allows a creditor 6 years to enforce the judgement, it doesn't say "after 6 years you can extend the judgement", it allows 6 years, with an option to extend under certain circumstances, prior to the 6 years running out, not after.
