Scottish Friendly fund transfer nightmare: my six‑month ordeal

Hi all,
I wanted to share my recent experience with Scottish Friendly in case anyone else is considering investing with them. Earlier this year I requested a transfer of funds from a Scottish Friendly account to a OneFamily account. What should have been a simple and straightforward request turned into a six-month saga. Despite multiple requests from OneFamily and myself, nothing happened.
Throughout this period OneFamily were responsive and professional, but Scottish Friendly simply did not process the transfer. After months of chasing I submitted a formal complaint. Their response was dismissive: they claimed they had only just received contact from OneFamily and refused to acknowledge any fault on their part. There was no apology or accountability.
This episode has completely shaken my trust in them. I’m sharing this to warn others so they don’t have to go through the same frustration. If you value good customer service and timely handling of your money, please be cautious and do your research before dealing with Scottish Friendly.

They're known to offer quite poor value products, so there's that too.0
