Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. According to the forecast we are supposed to be getting sunny spells today but not getting above 13 deg.
I have my Covid jab this morning and then meeting DD and eldest DGD to do some grocery shopping for her to stock up on her supplies for when she finally goes back to her own place on Monday. She has piled weight on whilst she has been inactive so I hope she has some healthy stuff on her list!
I finally managed my sweep of the driveway yesterday as well as the pavement. Being on the corner I get more than my fair share of all the leaves and rubbish blown from all directions. It won't be long I don't suppose before it's all to do again.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning again, don't know what the weather's doing.
Yesterday was a real autumn day, damp, grey and cold.
We had a hair appt, then came straight home. I was tired and ended up dozing on the sofa for a spell in the afternoon, so did dh. The tablets he takes make him sleepy. What a pair we are!
We'll have to brighten ourselves up a bit today, Dh is setting up a friend's computer in her new house. She asked him if he would arrange router installation then organise her computer, and it's happening today. She's actually inheriting my laptop, and I'm inheriting a laptop that we brought home from Australia, ds gave it to him. The amount of computer and electronic stuff in this house is scary.
Not much else going on apart from the usual jobs.
Thoughts to the sad and poorly people, take care folks.13 -
Morning all, I'm a sleepy head as in the middle of the night a nerve in the sole of one of my feet began to twitch intermittently making me jerk awake each time. Most odd and even more annoying. After a hour or so I eventually smeared a bit of Vapor Rub on the offending spot which (weirdly) did the trick. The birthday lunch yesterday was splendid. The place we go to is tucked away but still popular nevertheless. I had the best piece of venison fillet I've ever tasted. I had bought '8' and '0' candies which the staff put into Lionel's cheeses. (not Alan, he's my friend); Many thanks fir the birthday wishes for him, I'm very touched that so many remembered him.As I arrived early I managed to find a parking spot really close to the restaurant, it's a very busy shopping street which has enormous roadworks happening and very near the university so I was lucky. Lionel has COPD so walking is very difficult for him. My early arrival gave me time to pop into the big stationery store for A4 paper.I was home by 6.00p.m. The weather all along from Loch Lomond was beautiful, clear bright sky with the very start of a setting sun. Today is one of rest.Take care everyone. Hugs all round.13

Morning all, thanks Scarlet - we're the same with techie stuff here, most of it is DS1s in his basement but he comes in very useful!TA, glad DGDs healing ok and going back to her place soon.Gers, glad Lionel had a lovely birthday.DH is doing a different set of exercises upstairs after his physio yesterday, they were quite pleased with him though. We had a quietish day once he got home, though I rang our friend before we went to pick up DGS. She enjoyed all the goodies in the hamper I made up for her birthday.I think tea will be some pork fillet. I seem to be running low on meat stocks & have ordered a pack from the butcher to pick up tomorrow.Right, I'd better get doggo out for his 1st walk of the day- hope you all have a good one.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
I went down to mam and dads for a cuppa yesterday morning and sorted mams' debit card ...yet again! Then I had a nice hour in town, browsing the charity shops...I got little one a 'new' skeleton costume to wear at Halloween and a couple of books. I got mam some cash out, which hopefully she'll use rather than her card. In the afternoon I went over to my friends house for a cuppa, which was nice.
I have a few jobs to do this morning before work. I don't know if I mentioned it but last week's Covid has affected my taste buds, everything tastes sour and salty, it's very annoying.
Gers I'm pleased you both enjoyed your lunch yesterday, it's so nice that you've stayed in touch with your mums friend.
TA I'm the same, I'm om the corner so everyones' rubbish blows down onto my garden.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but very chilly I took the dogs out yesterday afternoon and was very cold by the time I got back indoors, might be time to get my winter coat out I think.
I am off to meet my new people at 11 today I will only do about three hours to see how we get on etc and arrange things going forward, Matt was like a different person yesterday his GP has given him some new tablets to calm him down and what a difference! I took him out in my car for the first time, we went for a walk and had lunch out the change was amazing.
Dinner tonight will be spag bol nice and easy, dd is off today but she is poorly with a horrible cold so I will cook once I get back, I had a shop delivered last night but need to pop into Lidl for a few bits today, I need a joint of pork for Sunday which is too expensive at Waitrose and a couple of other bits.
Gers I’m glad Lionel had a good Birthday xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning everyone I seem to have been flitting about all morning I don’t know where the day is going but I don’t seem to have achieved much I’m turning into one of those people who you work with who always looks busy doing nothing. Hubby is playing golf we are at the solicitors this afternoon to get our wills and POA sorted that will be another bill but it will be off our minds and everyone will know what’s happening I think I had better tell her I have lost my marbles I’ve just sat down to come on here with a cuppa for five minutes picked my cup up and I haven’t even made one empty cup there’s no hope .enjoy the theatre Coxy TA I was just talking about this with a neighbour the other day we seem to get all the leaves it’s a never ending job . Right I am going to make a cuppa now and then I’m going to get my backside into gear and crack on with what I’m supposed to be doing instead of faffing about. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Gers. how did you know to put vapour rub on the twitchy nerve, I'm curious! Also, I think it may have been me who started everyone off thinking your Dm's friend was Alan, sorry about that!9
