UKPC Parking Ticket at McDonald's

Hello forum,
Please, i need advice on how to proceed with this parking ticket issued by UKPC (sent by post) at a McDonalds restaurant. I had appealed as the registered keeper, but appeal rejected.

My appeal:

The driver was a customer on this particular day with the intention of getting lunch from MacDonald. Unfortunately, shortly after parking on designated customer area, the driver realised they didn’t have their wallet with them and left the car park. The car was in the customer designated parking area for approximately between 3-5 minutes (kindly check to confirm this)

Due to the above explanation the driver feel it is unfair to be charged as they had park on customer designated area and left immediately, they realised they didn’t have their wallet.

I hereby ask for your consideration on this matter.

They rejected the appeal saying:

"we consider the parking charge to have been correctly issued, as Occupant left site."

I do not understand what they mean by "occupant left site"

What actually happened was that I had parked in the customer designated parking area, dropped off a bag of unwanted clothing at a charity shop across McDonalds, returned to the car park for my purse to get lunch at McDonalds then realised I didn’t come out with my purse, so I left and didn’t return. This took between 3-5 minutes.

I have tried option 1, I contacted McDonalds but I was told it got nothing to do with them as they do not own the land. I went back to the area the sign mounted up a pole said the landowner is UK Parking Control (UKPC)

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Ukpc are definitely not the landowner,  just a contractor on behalf of the landlord or landowner

The UKPC sign would not have mentioned being the landowner

McDonald's will be a tenant,  not the landowner,  as they pointed out

Have another go at plan A , because I doubt that you would win at Popla based on the information so far

Forget POPLA and wait for a Letter of Claim - "leaving site" cases are notoriously hard for them to win plus it's UKPC who use DCB Legal and we know they discontinue defended claims.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

I dunno...I'd do POPLA in this case.

If the PCN is for 'leaving the site' and as long as you DIDN'T admit to going across to a charity shop (check UKPC's photos as well on their website) then how can they prove the driver left the site?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far,

Gr1pr  I will try Plan A once again.

Coupon-mad I have not admitted to going across to charity shop and NOT as the driver either. UKPC pictures shows the front and rear of the car and inside (driver and passenger side) of the car. I am not sure if they have other pictures or of driver leaving the site.

They have said to pay up £50 or go POPLA and if rejected, fine  will be £100 plus other expenses.

They never mentioned that word , fine,  they are not allowed to use that word

I suggest that you study the official MSE announcement regarding these charges
The MSE Guide is official 'Martin Lewis backed' advice.

The charge is actually £100, not £50 or £60 ! , any reduction is an early settlement figure,  the mugs discount for early payment

So do try a popla appeal,  no stories,  nothing about going anywhere else,  no blabbing about who was driving either

You wont be paying a penny so this talk of £100 or less is irrelevant,  especially if you follow our advice
