I just got a dell PC and need a TFT I was about to get one but would be great to get TFT which can be used as TV aswell. I want to spend maxi of £180 as a TFT will cost me £100 anyway.
Can anyone advise me please.

You will be better looking for an LCD TV with PC input. but the problem is the lower end TV's tend not to have VGA/PC inputs.
For under £180 your looking at 17" 4:3 screen or 15" wide screens or spend a little more and you will get a 19" acer AT1921 from pixmania for £202.0 -
Depending on how you want to use it, you might consider getting a TV card to go in your PC as an alternative. There are loads of different makes, but for example you can get a Hauppauge single Freeview card for less than £30, or a twin Freeview tuner card for about £50.0

I would definitely go with fwor's suggestion and get a tuner card for your pc. TV's with a pc input never look good as a TV screen does not have the high definition as a pc. Even a good screen "only" has 720 lines, even spending mega bucks on a TV will give you 1080 lines.
So what happens is you need to lower your settings to get it to display at the native resolution of the tv screen.Lady Astor: "Winston, if I were your wife I'd put poison in your coffee."

PM - don't get the one that you posted a link to on play.com. It only appears to have an analogue tuner, so the TV part will be useless when the switch to digital takes place. Assuming you are in a Freeview area, get one with a DVB digital tuner.0
