Urgent Assistance Required – UK Parking Control Ltd Claim

Hi,

We have received a Claim Form from UK Parking Control Ltd regarding an alleged parking contravention for "No Parking Out of Hours." The incident occurred in a retail park, and unfortunately, we did not appeal to the retail park management before the claim progressed to this stage.

At the time, it was dark, and we did not see any visible parking signs. Upon revisiting the site during daylight, we observed that the signage is printed in small text on a display attached to a pole, which sways with the wind, making it even harder to notice.

I was driving my wife's car on the date of the alleged contravention (14/04/2025), and I did not see any signage indicating parking restrictions.

Before we were fully aware of the advice from this site, my wife responded to DCB Legal informing them that she was not the driver, providing them my name (we know now that it was a mistake to do that) and also explained her ongoing mental health issues. Despite this, she has received a Claim Form and I have also now received a “Warning Notice of Transfer to Solicitors” from GCTT dated 07/10/2025. It appears that both my wife and I are being pursued over the same incident.

The issue date of the Claim Form is 08/10/2025, and we received it via post on 13/10/2025.

I would greatly appreciate urgent guidance on how to proceed with this matter.

Best regards.

The name of the person listed on the left of the claim form is the defendant,  so your wife's name,  if its her name and address on it

Its also her defence too, as the named defendant,  so she logs into MCOL via her government gateway account to do the AOS etc

Who signed the claim form   ?

Post a redacted picture of the POC from the lower left of the claim form below after hiding the VRM details first
