Private parking charge liability dispute

Hi I would be grateful for help with this issue as I can’t seem to find the relevant information elsewhere!
I was given a hire vehicle in 2023 as a replacement from insurance company whilst my vehicle was being repaired.
During this time I allowed a family member to use the vehicle to commute to work. However, on 2 occasions they received parking charges from a private company.
I don’t recall receiving any paperwork at the time from the hire company or parking company regarding these parking charges - if I had I would have transferred liability at that time to the driver.
The parking company, ZZPS, have now sent letters to my current address asking for payment for these charges. I have advised them I was not the driver but they have states they cannot transfer liability as the time to do so has expired.
Is there any other was to get liability transferred at this point or to challenge this? They are threatening legal action and i’m concerned it will lead to a CCJ in my name.

Ignore ZZPS, there won't be any CCJ if you follow our advice here. ZZPS cannot take you to court, only the private parking company can , so name the Private parking company
Then
Study the advice given in the bottom of the first post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, regarding hire vehicles
The hire company should have followed the BVRLA memorandum of understanding and named the hirer to the parking company, otherwise the responsibility stays with them, not you
So check if they named you as hirer to the private parking company , and when ( or not )

ZZPS routinely refuse transfer of liability.
There isn't a deadline (indeed quite the opposite: the law says that a keeper has the right to transfer liability right up to the point of a court claim) but they lie to people:

Challenge it angrily, see link. Threaten to report them to the BPA or IPC - which parking firm are they representing? You are not risking a CCJ at any point.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
