180 day travel insurance

Hi, I am going to South Africa for 6 months and was wondering who the best travel insurance provider is for a 180 day trip. I am 61. Thanks

Saga might be your best bet.  They will cover a 180 day trip.

Looks like Saga will only cover 90 days per trip (180 days is total coverage available per year)

With an annual travel insurance policy you’re covered to travel:
    • Up to a maximum of 180 days per year in your chosen region
    • Up to 45 days per trip with the option to extend to 60 or 90 days (90 day extension excludes USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands policies).

What about looking at back packers forums and such like.
It's not only youngsters that do it.
Even so there is more likely to be something on such like websites.

You'll be looking at a "backpacker" type policy unless you are spending vast amounts and therefore can look at something more aimed at the high net worth
