Morning everyone thanks for the start Gers and happy 80th birthday to Alan . I’ve not long been in from a cleaning job then had to sort the car break down cover out they were told last year not to auto renew and I had an email today to say they were and the new price was eye watering So a stroppy phone call and a much better quote was given after I had done a bit of research why do you have to have this hassle every year it drives me mad considering I don’t drive . DP1 sorry to hear about the little one what a shame when she was doing so well I hope she’s back to school and up and running soon . I’ve just boiled some eggs you have set me off Taff it’s egg mayonnaise sandwich for lunch but I’m with you I love pies no that’s a lie I love food unfortunately they about kill me off with heartburn to think I could once upon a time eat anything and everything damn . Got some cupboards cleaned and tidied yesterday and a good sort out I must have a thousand poo bags but at least they are all together now and a bag full of balls to go to the charity shop she’s a little old lady now and doesn’t play much she’s happy with a tootle about and a snooze. It’s another dull grey day I’ve got a bit of housework to do but nothing that can’t wait I will have a cuppa and try and get myself motivated. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Thanks @Gers for today's start, I hope you have a good day with the birthday boy; it's lovely you've kept in touch with him.
Another dull and grey day in store, top temps 13 deg, no rain forecast but no sun either - the breaks in the clouds aren't happening so we're stuck in a gloomy weather rut.
Yesterday I did my weekly Co-op trip, not cold out but not warm either, probably because it felt so damp. The lightweight jacket I was wearing isn't quite cutting the mustard now so is being washed today before going into storage to be replaced by a warmer one. Gloves, hats and scarves are at the ready too for when they're needed. Just a few bits and pieces bought that came to slightly under £7 and that's my shopping done for the week.
Today I'm in the kitchen making SC chilli, a loaf of bread, a slab of Yorkshire parkin and a batch of brown scones to fill up the oven space. I saw some parkin in the Co-op on the reduced section, priced at £2.10 for 6 squares. I can make it cheaper than that for twice the quantity so home-made it is! Parkin is traditional in these parts around Bonfire Night - I dare say there are regional variations. Speaking of Bonfire Night, has anyone heard fireworks yet? I've heard one or two over the last week or so. Tea tonight is fishcake, mushy peas and the last few oven chips from the freezer followed by a cosy evening on the sofa either watching TV or reading.
I hope the day goes well for everyone whatever is on your agenda, take care and stay safe. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Good afternoon everyone, hugs to those who need them.
When I woke up I was expecting to be in pain after my injections in my back yesterday but I wasn’t. Today I cleaned the house, had Iceland delivered and now I’m just doing my cross stitch.Trying to change my life and will:money:8
