Transfer of property- which forms to complete

Just looking for some guidance- myself and my mother jointly inherited my nans house. We have the grant of probate and the last step is now transferring the property. We have decided to do it ourselves as it seemed a straight forward process and the company who handled probate for us were messing us about. We have an appointment on Thursday with a solicitor to get our ID1 forms completed and signed and it is my understanding that we only need to complete the ap1 forms a send these off with the ID1 form?

What are you planning to do with the house? If you are selling it there is no need to transfer the property, and if you are not already a home owner this would lose you your first time buyer status.0

We live in the house so are not planning to sell1

How do we go about paying? We don’t have a cheque book0

If your bank does them a bankers draft can be used otherwise Postal order is the only other option offered.0

Still needing guidance on this as receiving conflicting advice which is confusing- we have completed our ID1 forms which have been signed by a solicitor. My nan passed away and left her house to myself and my mother in her will. We are confused on whether we should complete the AP1 forms or the AS1 forms or both to send along with ID1 forms to transfer the house into both our names as tenants in common.0

HMLR's guidance leaflet below indicates the AS1 is indeed part of the property transfer process in your particular circumstances. Have you never seen it?

Thank you for this! No I hadn’t seen it before. So according to this it is the AS1 form with the AP1 form to be completed and sent with grant of probate. Perfect thank youposeidon1 said:
