How long can I wait?

I have a parking ticket from ParkingEye from 25th September.
I have emailed the store (home bargains) head office asking if they can overturn this, and asking who owns the land. I have been unable to make contact any other way and the response time is up to a month.
How long can I wait before having to appeal directly to ParkingEye?
Many thanks
For context, I parked there by mistake at around midnight when all the lights were off and the sign was not illuminated.

I have had a reply from the store head office - they do not get involved with parking fines and told me to go through the appeals process. I have tried to find out who owns the land through the land registry but that seems to cost around £30. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks again0 -
Yes that isn't the official land registry site
A search costs £7
I wouldn't bother personally.1 -
Get your initial appeal in to PE (NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, first post, blue text), then get your POPLA code and prepare your appeal to them (NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, third post).
As this was at night, was the signage clearly illuminated, if you think it wasn't, go and get photos in similar light conditions, don't use flash. POPLA require dated photos as evidence, please read a POPLA decision from just a couple of days ago where they made (in my view) poor assumptions favouring the parking firm because the motorist didn't produce photo evidence.PS - don't drive into the car park and get hooked again! Find a 'safer' place nearby. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
