    Good morning

It's looking dull outside, just the same as yesterday. DD and her SiL have an appointment with the Canon today to arrange her MiLs funeral. Once they have a date they can move on with the arrangements for the service, although I  expect more phone calls fro DD in frustration!

I need to do some shopping today, stocks are looking a bit low. Other than that not much else planned. I've taken some braising steak out for tea, will do it in the slow cooker with onions and mushrooms.

Have a good day all,  hugs for our sad and poorlies. Take care.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET.  Another mild start here but unfortunately it's lacking any sign of sunshine.

Yesterday morning I was tempted to venture out in the back garden to start some tidying and cutting back. I can't go at it hammer and tong like I once could so it's do a bit then rest a bit! I still need to give a good sweep everywhere but looking at the big trees opposite there are still many more leaves to fall yet.

I had a surprise visit yesterday with all 3 DGD (plus eldest's bf) descending on me after school. A rare event to have all 3 together these days. The 2 youngest stayed for tea but eldest and bf had to get back to Leeds. She still hasn't moved back in her own place there and alternates between her bf's and back home here where there has been someone to fetch and carry for her! She's now much more mobile so is planning on going back in her own place at last next Monday. A simple slip at the water park on the IOW in August has a lot to answer for!

All being well I am meeting DF again for lunch but, as usual, await confirmation when she knows how the land lies with DH and if he is ok to leave!

Have a good day all if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x

Just back from another run/walk. I have someone coming to collect a chest of drawers this morning - advertised on FBMP on Sunday along with some other storage. Could have sold the storage 30 times over. I was nice enough to reply to each and every enquiry 😇

We have an online appt with our financial advisor this morning. The NHS don’t seem to have a record of my pension contributions despite having my NI number and employee number, so I need to fill in a form apparently. Just ridiculous.

I’m going to the hairdresser this afternoon so a bit of pamper time.  Jobs fair was dire yesterday but did get some ideas for DS2 who is still scraping by on the remnants of his student loan. Dinner tonight is spaghetti and meatballs - nice and easy.

Hugs to you @silver-oldie xx Not an easy time for you.

    Have a good day everyone.

Well, yesterday ran away from me, I've been so busy lately, I need a rest :) I did a flying visit to wales on Sunday for my sisters birthday, she was pleased with her presents and I unblocked a drainpipe  for her and received my birthday present three months early, a new stepladder from Lidl which I'm over the moon with...Ill be going down again this weekend to help shift some stuff...Yesterday was allotment day, there's a green skip there this week so I was removing stuff from it for my next dead hedge, and I made three quarters of a raised bed from the wood that was under the greenhouse. I'ts going to be a high one for carrots so that was screwed together but I need five more pieces from the old raised beds at the house to finish it. Today is more of the same, but I have just boiled some eggs to make egg mayo for sandwiches, they're my absolute favourite [well, and chicken and stuffing] but you never see them except at do's...time I learned to make my own :) All of meighbours seem to be having a hard time health wise, in the last couple of months it's been strokes, heart attacks and cancer...I only found out about the one who had a heart attack yesterday, it was three weeks ago! {I am a rubbish neighbour I think...]
TA, nice for you to have them all together again, did you make a bolognese bake? :) remmie, that's a bit over the top for flowers isn't it? You can't use money to show you really loved someone, or at least I don't think so. And you especially can't bring everyone else into your mad plans. Good luck to your dd. Gers, I applaud your dedication toy uor excericing though even if you haven't been for a bit, you more than make up for when you do! Scarlet, wlel done winning the raffle, and what a good idea to put ready rubbed pastry in the freezer...Izzy, what a nice neighbour..I'm thinking of building a log store don the side of the house to get unseasoned logs for next year, they're much cheaper...Ruby, hope your mums line is ok now. Paracetamol to the unwell and hugs to the sad....
