Jc Acquisition LLC

Hi, I’m looking for some information regarding a drop in my credit score. I receive an update on my credit score through my bank on a monthly basis. Now this morning I’ve had a look and it says that my score is down 52 points due to a company called Jc Acquisition LLC. This is the first time I’ve heard of this company and it was through my bank. I’ve had no contact from them at all regarding this matter. I’m a little unsure as to how to proceed with this. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this particular company, if so could you advise on how to proceed.

Looks like they buy old debts to pursue. Have you had any old debts or debts that were written off?

Credit score is meaningless anyway, don't worry about that, just keep an eye on your report for any old debts being added on

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

They are a debt purchasing company, they may have acquired an old debt they believe is yours, so see if anything resurfaces.

If you have a moment, have a read of the MSE guide to credit scores at the top of this board, that will clarify credit scores and their significance for you.
