ParkingEye tickets - told I am allowed to park in the spot by staff.

I have been visiting family in hospital, I asked a nurse about the time limited parking spots near the entrance I was told I am okay to park here and if I receive a ticket I don’t need to pay. I have parked here multiple times believing it is okay as I never seen a ticket on my car. I have since received a ticket in the mail from Parkingeye and expect to receive more.

Do I need to pay this considering I was told by staff I can park here and I won’t have to pay?

No, complain to PALS to step in and cancel the charge, but don't park there again.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry but a nurse is unlikely to give authoritative advice on parking.

Interesting situation. If it was the receptionist you'd assume more authority than a nurse strangely.

And what if it had been a member of the Estates staff?

They're all employees of the landowner.

All I'm saying is, how do know if it was a nurse? :-)
