Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Haven't posted for a while as so many things seem to have broken or stopped working in the house. Most thankfully most have been sorted.
It was also the anniversary of loosing my lovely DH.
Take care

Morning everyone
Foggy here again but it hopefully will clear later...we might even welcome Camelot with sunshine .
Theres been quite a few cars stranded on the cause way over the summer... a lot of tourists don't seem to realise that it's 'the real sea.' It costs a fortune to rescue them each time though.
I had a lovely sit out in the garden yesterday with my paper and did some gentle tidying. I'll go back to work today but have said I'll just see how I get on, I'm not promising to be there all week. I just feel so tired and achy.
Little one didn't have a good day yesterday, her blood sugars crashed so low that she collapsed and DD rang an ambulance. That was going to take nearly 2 hours so they said to take her to our local hospital to be checked, but the doctor there wouldn't see her and said to take her to RVI at Newcastle. DD was furious as it is on her notes that she can be checked there, they eventually got seen by a doctor at about 4pm, by which time her sugars were fine. The doctor did say she might be coming down with a virus, I don't expect she'll be at school today, she'll need a day on the sofa and DD will ring her metabolic nurses.
I'm trying to organise a hospital appointment that came for mam on Saturday, it turns out it's for a different part of her body than she thought!
TA - well done to your girls
Redruby - Snap,,I've just put some tomato sauce on to cook and will have some with gnocchi tonight. I found 3 tins of chopped tomatoes dated August 25 in the cupboard so will use them up.
Love to you Silver Oldie...take care of yourself x
Better get on...I hope everyone has a nice day x13 -

Morning all and thanks @Gers for the start. What a change in the weather after such a glorious day yesterday - misty, damp underfoot and cloudy all day with drizzle or light rain possible. Not especially cold though, with top temps of 16 deg and 9 overnight. Just dull and miserable.
I did go out for a walk yesterday and was out longer than intended as the weather was so good - in fact it was warmer outside than in my house! Nowhere in particular, just a long walk resulting in an excellent night's sleep. I spent the rest of the afternoon with crafting and TV in the evening. I'm currently watching Peaky Blinders that I missed first time around. @Rosy - I think I need to add 24 to my Watchlist, another one that got away from me!
This morning's post already dealt with, not difficult as it was all junk mail with nothing of interest so in the recycling bin it went. Just the usual household tasks to do today but I want to check the dates on the store cupboard items and at the same time make a mental note of what else I might need for winter stocks. I made a list earlier in the year of stuff that had reached or gone past its BB date - it's all been used up apart from baking extracts/essences that may be a bit less flavoursome but will still be OK to use. Easy tea tonight of h/m soup and a sandwich, apple & yogurt for afters.
@camelot - Enjoy your visit to Holy Island tomorrow.
@TA - A very well done to your girls on completing the Hike and raising much needed funds for the hospice.
@dp1 - So sorry to hear LO needed to go to the hospital, she's being doing so well lately too. Hopefully it's just a short blip.
@silver-oldie - Gentle hugs to you. It will never be easy no matter how much time passes and I really hope you had lots of good memories to help you through the day.
Right, time to go through the pantry stocks, I may as well wipe the shelves down while I'm at it. I know how to make work for myself!
Stay safe all, take care and enjoy your day. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12 -

Scarlet Ribbons - looks like you can just substitute the limes for lemons in the curd recipe. You can even mix the two.4
