Morning all
Dry here but not sunny, OH has his work clothes in the wm so they can be hung out for a while when he get back, he is at the boot sale this morning.
DD had a great time in Dublin but was shattered when she got back so went straight to bed, she is off today so no rush to do anything. We have turned mums alarm off temporarily the company who run it said there seems to be a fault on the line and are sending someone out to fix it so at least no middle of the night phone calls last night.
Dinner today will be chicken casserole for a change from a roast, I shall slow cook it in a low oven and just have to do some rice later on, this is a recipe my mum made for us as children so it’s real comfort food for me and now dd loves it too.
I need to hoover later, yesterday I was recharging one of those dehumidifier bags in the microwave and when I got it out the bag had ripped open and thousands of tiny beads went everywhere 🙄 the microwave is on top of the fridge freezer so they even went in the freezer, I hoovered the floor yesterday but there are still so many laying around so I will have another go today and also empty and clean the freezer.
TA I hope the girls got on ok on the walk xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. Today's early morning mist soon disappeared and we now have an almost cloudless bright blue sky with not even a whisper of a breeze. Top temps might get up to 15 or 16 deg and overnight should (hopefully) be a little milder than last night.
Other than the usual daily stuff, I have nothing planned for today and, once I've prepped dinner (lamb kebabs with mint gravy, veg & potatoes), will be having a lazy day although I might go out for a walk if the mood takes me. One good thing about being on your own is being able to please yourself!
@remmie - So sorry to hear your DD is piggy in the middle with her late MiLs funeral arrangements. I hope yesterday's day out gave her some breathing space.
@Ruby - I'm afraid you'll be finding those beads for a long time to come!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, take care all. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -

@newroadahead I spent alot of my youth in pubs as my mum and dad worked in them for my dad's cousin and we spent a week or two staying there when they went on holidays. I remember we only had one freezer and it was in the cellar. What a pain having to go down there everytime you needed something when the living accommodation was above the pub. One Sunday they were having a snooze and I went down to get some ice creaam. I couldn't be bothered to take it back downstairs so ate the lot. They weren't happy when they woke up!!! Happy days :-)9
