Back from my jaunt and well rested again. The civil ceremony was lovely. A small crowd and two grooms, all very relaxed and jolly. My pink jacket / white T shirt turned out to be perfect, I felt very glam in it despite my worries. The bus trip home yesterday was smooth and event free. Last week, during the storm four buses (two in each direction) were trapped overnight became of an enormous felled tree. Once in the village I picked up a sandwich from the wee takeaway shop and then drove home.Last night I enjoyed SCD, no guesses about who is going home, and was in bed asleep shortly afterwards. I'm not up yet, just lingering a bit longer, though my plan is to change the bedding as the day is forecasted to be fine. I may even be able to hang it outside, that would be a treat. 😂
I hope that all are well, take care.13 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. We were forecast fog this morning and fog we got, but it's already lifting and the sun trying to emerge. Then a sunny day ahead.
I'm still awaiting a text from DS re the time for the Supermarket Sweep. I may get round in a record time today as my list is short and its mostly f & v and fridge stuff. I'm still wading through the tall freezer, with the overflow in the smaller fridge, and it doesn't look much different for my endeavours!
My bus trip yesterday ended up quite a pleasant one. I got the bus along the valley bottom as I had heard the renovations were complete on one of the market squares a few towns along and yesterday was a day of "celebration". The square looks much nicer with a covered area for the bigger stalls and several smaller stalls were up and running. Plus a display area which yesterday was in full swing with a dancing display with lots watching. Whether all this contributes to more footfall and spending in the town centre remains to be seen. My sole spending was on bagels and a small loaf and a bag of sweeties somehow ended up in my bag for Strictly viewing.
I too enjoyed Strictly, as always, last night. It's easy to pick who the evacuees will be but not so the winner as there are so many excellent dancers this year.
Have a good day if you can folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Good morning
TA it's foggy here this morning too, I can't see past the fence at the bottom of my garden.
Gers I'm pleased you enjoyed the ceremony yesterday
Yesterday was quiet though enjoyable, I sat out in the sun reading for a couple of hours in the afternoon, it was lovely. In the morning I went down to the closest shop and exchanged some photo frames for the correct size....I bussed both ways but was still exhausted when I got home. When I go anywhere I like to buy a couple of little pictures or postcards to put in frames and I had built up quite a pile.
I'll go down to mam and dads this morning and do his 'laptop jobs', then have a lazy afternoon with my paper...I did get some daffodil bulbs yesterday too so I may get those put in the garden if the sun pops out.
I've taken a chicken kiev out of the freezer for my for my tea.
Right best get moving...I hope everyone has a good day x

Morning everyone thanks for the start Gers pleased you enjoyed the ceremony and your outfit sounds lovely I’m another that enjoyed strictly it’s the highlight of my week I mean year I know I’m sad it’s bright so I’m going to hang a load of washing out I’ve already washed a throw off the sofa and hubby’s dog walking coat that was looking grubby doesn’t look much better but it keeps him dry and warm . Not a lot happening I’ve got a little beef joint in the oven I will do veg and Yorkshire puddings later . I’ve been trying to grow my hair for about six months I don’t know why I looked in the mirror this morning and decided it will never look like anything other than a mop on my head I don’t care what my hairdresser says I go in two weeks and it’s getting the chop I’ve made my mind up . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all. Dull here today but dry.
Had a busy few days, including helping DD take her horse to a Hydrotherapy session - who knew such things existed! I was mainly moral support as towing a horse trailer on dual carriageway etc is a bit stressful but we made it there and back in one piece. Unfortunately he has 5 more sessions to go but I don't think I'll be needed for all of them.
Yesterday I was playing for one of my Morris sides at an Apple Day Parade. Big procession through the town then dancing at a couple of spots and ending up in the pub garden. A very popular event in the town, which drew many visitors so good for local trade. We contributed by having coffee and cake at an Italian cafe and I then bought one of those individual holders for loose tea, that you put in your cup. Someone had gifted me some fancy loose tea so I thought I'd better try and use it.
Today we're meeting friends for a pub Sunday lunch and then I'm off to a pub music session this evening. It's all go
Just realised the word pub occurs a lot in this post!
Anyway, have a good Sunday everyone and look after yourselves.12 -
Morning All
Dry this morning but no sunshine sadly. Bedding and a couple of throws on the line with another load chugging away. Yesterday's washing dried really well and was all folded and put away by 5pm.
Glad you had a good time Gers and felt good in your lovely outfit.
You're always so busy WL!
Hope you're on the mend dp1 and can see the little one soon.
Sounds like you had a good day enjoying the celebrations TA.
I bought some wooden toys for youngest DGD's Christmas present but DS1 says she already has one of them so will take that back today and get some handwash - the builders seem to have used it all, at least they're clean!
I'm going to look at new flooring for the laundry this afternoon and then on to DD's for my Sunday lunch. Typical, friends invited me for dinner too!
Hope you're all well and have a happy and peaceful Sunday.
Take care. XX10 -

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x Glad you enjoyed the ceremony and got home without issue.
A day of gardening yesterday accompanied by a little robin who was happy to come within an arms length of me 😊Our local pub owners are retiring so we went for drinks last night. I stuck to Diet Coke and left at 10am but DH, DD, DS1 and DD’s friend stayed for a lock-in and got home at 1.30am!
More gardening today and roast chicken for dinner later followed by apple crumble for the family. I’m on day 7 of no sugar (only natural sugar in fruit) so will give it a miss 😇
Have a good day all

Morning all, was still foggy on the park just now when I took LDog out. Met NDN at the top of the road so we had a good chat & the dogs had a good sniff. The park was very busy with dogwalkers, I don't usually go on Sunday mornings but I was later getting up- woke at 6,read on my kindle for a while, then must have dropped off again and before I knew it itwas 8.15. I was asking ND about some repairs they had on Friday ( adjoining wall), they've had a leak in the bathroom for ages and reported it to the letting agency. He's not happy with how they seem to do a quick patch up job, and the cycle starts again. He says they'd move but the rent hasn't gone up much and they'd have to pay a lot more now. They are great neighbours & would hate to lose them
Not much planned for the day, @Coxy11 your Sunday menu is very similar to ours. I've been more or less sugar free/lowcarb for 3 years now, apart from the odd treat, and my taste buds have got used to it. I'll make myself a separate portion of apple crumble but with almond flour/butter. I need to use some of the apples a friend donated- 2 big bags still left in the freezer & need the room for Cmas preps.Hope the charity walk went well @TARight time for another brew.Have a good day all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
