Husband has died after a terminal illness claim has been initiated

My husband was given a prognosis of weeks to live in August. We received the SR1 form from the hospital. He put in a terminal illness claim with aviva and they have initiated the claim, he has sent the forms they needed and they contacted us 2 weeks ago to say that they were waiting for the full report from the oncologist. However my husband has now died this week. What happens now? Will the terminal illness claim go through or will they now stop it and we will have to claim as life insurance payout? Thank you

Sorry for your loss, phone them and ask (they probably have a team that handles claims in those circumstances)
