Mcdonalds Parking Fine
sturman
I received a parking fine from Macdonalds for overstaying their two hour limit by 20 minutes, It was six in the morning and i was taking a long drive from Bucks to Teeside, I felt weak and tired so i pulled off the M1 at Marham Vale into a Mcdonalds next to motorway and bought a breakfast, I dont have the receipt but its on my bank statement. I feel asleep. i never left the car. I contacted UKPC told them the situation ,sent statement with my proof , however they rejected my claim and insistecd on paying the fine. They said i could appeal to POPLA.
Any suggestions
Thanks

Normally complaining to the landowner is a good idea, but this site seems to be a complete mess with four separate parking companies infesting various parts of the site and presumably under different owners.
Not to worry though, as UKPC almost always use DCB Legal who file county claims that are discontinued.I'd just ignore and come back here if you get a Letter Before Claim from DCB Legal.3 -
Neither McDonald's or the halfwits at UKPC issue "Parking Fines" what ever your appeal stated it wouldn't be accepted they actually love it when you over stay that's how they try to prise money out of people that give in thinking they have a fine, it's just a speculative invoice for a contract they say you broke.Read the stickies at the top of this forum where all is explained.1
