Right to Manage Company RTM Savings Bank Account

We are a small RTM (20 flats) running 11 years. We have a managing agent to help us manage the block. Our service charges are paid to them to manage.
We now have a surplus amount for "reserve sinking fund" money which we would like to invest as our current account does not pay interest. We are struggling to find a suitable account and are agents are not willing to get involved.
Legally I'm assuming this should be a trustee account of some description.
Has anyone had similar experiences? And or can offer advice. Thanks.
