Hello all, recently received ticket in my wives name, whilst i was driving/parking. Appealed to landowner, parking company and popla rejected, now received the usual threatening letter's requesting payment, all in wife's name from dcbi, i think. Not paying. However if this does go to court and i am happy to fight, when do i transfer into my name, so my poor wife doesn't get pulled through court when its me?? Help appreciated.

Any time before proceedings. As you're at the DCBL stage, it'll be DCB Legal next.
I suggest you wait until the Letter Before Claim and then transfer liability then, by emailing both the parking company and DCB Legal.
That will send them down a snake all the way back to square one and they should send you a Notice to Driver in the post.
They make kick off first, so let us know if they lie about a non-existent 28 day deadline.4 -
Why didn't she just transfer liability when she got the PCN? It's on the back of every PCN and is a standard response she should have done already. Which PPC?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've seen late transfers trigger a Notice to Driver being sent by the parking co in the post... and then absolutely nothing.
Sometimes it seem to mess up their system.3 -
Initial. Did not transfer, as i didn't want to admit to being the driver, not sure if that makes any difference but i was just being cautious to how much info i give them, if, as me; i don't really get the whole thing, i thought less would be best. Many thanks, sounds like i can wait until Letter Before Claim, if it gets that far?????Coupon-mad said:Why didn't she just transfer liability when she got the PCN? I wouldn't wait, if you are the one up for defending a claim and she isn't. But of course you realise YOU don't do this. She does.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Tbh I would wait until any loc arrives
If they fail to transfer liability its another point to use in the defence😄4 -
If it’s DCB Legal running the show then no one will be dragged to court, they’ll discontinue before a hearing. You could offer to do all the paperwork for your wife and take the mediation call for her. All she would need to do is sign the defence. Easy.Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'
