You are emailing the following to your local court & cc in the solicitor, all of it with page numbers, to make it easy for the judge to follow:
- defence against the PCN
- WS in the first person, referencing exhibits
- your exhibits, evidence (all numbered)
- signed costs sheet
NOTHING GOES TO NORTHAMPTON.
MCOL IS NOT INVOLVED.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello again all,
So this is due in court this Friday and a week ago the claimant submitted an additional witness statement to be added as evidence from their head of legal. The question I have is can I ask the evidence not to be allowed due to it being submitted so close to trial date? It was submitted to the court and myself on the afternoon of the 2/10/26 with the trial date set on 10.00am 16/10/26?
Ive tried to find out online when is the latest evidence can be submitted but answer were both varied and confusing.
Second Question is are they likely to discontinue after submitting this evidence and paying the trial fee?
Cheers in advance

You and the claimant both had the same deadline for submission of witness statements, usually not less than 14 days before hearing date. Sometimes it is permitted to submit a supplementary WS but it is up to the judge on the day to accept or not, especially if you object to a late submission as "a matter to put before the judge before the hearing starts proper".

Please tack your query onto your original thread
One topic, one single ( long ) thread, not multiple threads, thank you

Please tack your query onto your original threadYou could also edit the title of your OG thread to bring attention to the hearing being on Friday.

Which claimant and which solicitor?
The order was to submit a witness statement by X date. As long as that is done anybody can send anything to the other side and the court.
The only risk is irritating the judge with paperwork ping pong, although the court can dismiss anything they receive if they wish.
What did they say in their additional statement?3 -
Vehicle Control Services and DCBL

I have now updated to original thread as suggested.
