Charged 3 days for less than 2 days' parking. Help!
Hi
I'm flying from Stanstead at 6 a.m. Sunday morning so need to get there for 4. Coming back 11.30 p.m. on Monday, so hoping to pick up car between midnight and 1 a.m. on Tuesday. So even though looking for parking for 45 hours, being charged for 3 days (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday). Anyone know anyway round this or have I just got to suck it up?
Thanks

Surely you are charged in 24 hour blocks, and not actual days the 45 hours spans.
Just say you are back at 2345 in that case, most car parks allow grace periods. I suspect putting that time in may not make a difference though as usually they charge in time blocks, not calendar day blocks.1 -
Stanstead official carparks do not charge overstay fees until 6 hours after the booked time. I think they allow you to enter the carpark up to 4 hours before your booking too. There is a pop up message shown during the booking to confirm these. Try to rebook with a later drop off and earlier pickup within these limits. No need to enter your actual flight details :-)1

But you will be parked there on Sunday, on Monday, and on Tuesday...
If that's how that particular parking structures their charging, can you park somewhere else? There's plenty of park-and-bus services around most airports, usually way cheaper than the official airport ones, and not that much less convenient.0 -

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
