Glass splashback over tiles can it be done?

Hi,
I want to fit a glass splashback over the current kitchen tiles. There is also currently a wall socket above the hob. Which will be moved to the side. Once the socket is removed would it be possible to fit a glass splashback?

Why'd you put glass over tiles?
Are you talking clear glass or opaque?
As long as the tiles are predominately flat and its opaque glass then in principle there's no reason why the adhesive can't hold on the tiles.0 -

I expect the company fitting would want the tiles removed to give a good surface to stick the glass onto - you'd also need to move the socket before the measurements for templating. We have glass instead of tiles in our kitchen, including behind the hob - and couldn't template the glass until the rest of the kitchen was fully fitted.0
