Door tread advice for bathroom/hallway

We've just had a new bathroom installed and because we moved the doorway the carpet ended up like this. Luckily we wanted to change the carpet anyway so that's happening this week.
Just want some advice because our bathroom installer said the carpet company should install the door tread and it didn't make sense for them to do it.
When we asked the carpet company they said because the tiles are protruding if they did install a bar/tread it'd need to be glued down and the door trimmed.
We don't mind doing this but is it the best solution? The way he described it was as though it was a workaround so I just wanted opinions.

The tiles have a very neat straight edge, and you don't want to add any height to the joint that would interfere with the door. So I'd look for a 'butt'ing joint strip, like;

You'd just need to check the strip's height so it's no higher that the tiles - you want them flush at t'top.0 -
Or a Z bar like this

The door might need a trim but they do a good job of protecting the tile edge0
