75 pension has been stopped after a call out back to the military.

Hi there,
I served 24 years and got 75 pension. It pay monthly. I'm also a Sponsored Reservist which is incorporated with my day to day job. I've received a mandatory call out for 6 months as a Sponsored Reservist and will be paid by my Company during that time. My pension has been stopped and no-one can give clarity on why it would be stopped. The Army are not paying me. Should I be paid pension or not?

My understanding is you can not serve and have a pension paying at the same time.

For instance if you leave, draw a pension and then join the reserves on a active basis then your pension stops for the period of your service.  This is because you will be earning pension time whilst in active service.

The army should be paying you the rank daily rate for the 6 month period. (Happy to be corrected)

Sponsored reserves are completely different to reservists. Basically they are doing a military type role day to day as their employment. When they are deployed, they do the exact same job somewhere different

Hi, thanks all for responding. To elaborate further. My company has a contract with the MOD to provide a service day to day( like manpower replacement) this is done as a civilian worker. Part of the job role is to be sponsored reservist. From time to time the army will need personal to be in green kit.(basically a reservist)  Whenever we are in green kit our time is paid by the company and not the army. Thats why we are called sponsored reservists. However I am told because I am called out my pension will no longer be paid out but I am not paid for my time by to army. Quite a confusing dilemma.
